Hi everyone,
I’ve recently bought an Acer Nitro V15 black edition laptop and was wondering if I can overclock the cpu & if so how do I do it please?
It has an i5 6300hq

Intel CPUs use a feature called Turbo Boost - because CPU clock speeds can be scaled up and down according to demand. Turbo Boost allows some or all cores to be set higher than the base clock, if there is demand, and power/heat limits are not being exceeded.

It happens automatically - grab some monitoring software like HWMonitor and watch your clock speeds go up and down as you use the PC.

Thanks, I installed fortnite earlier as I know the graphics suck and set it on auto settings which happened to put the graphics on high, and it was fine but there seemed to be a motion lag and screen freezes for a second every so often so I don’t k ow how I’m going to get on with battlefield lol
