Laptop CPU question - is a c2d 2.0 £100 better than a c2d 1.83?

Speccing myself a new laptop for the new year, and I can get an identical specced laptop for about £100 less if i have the c2d 1.83 2MB chip over the 2.0 4MB chip.

I don't do a lot of heavy work on the laptop, and games go as far as WoW - simple question really is if the 2.0 is £100 better than the 1.8 :)

I'd pocket the cash mate. There is going to be a difference in performance, but I really wouldn't put £100 into it.

As the previous poster said... less than 200MHz extra performance ain't worth the extra £100 and on a laptop even more so as your unlikely to be doing anything that needs the extra speed.

Don't have any issues with WoW on a 1.83 Core2 on lappy. Get's a bit jittery at 1ghz (battery save mode) though.

my current laptop (celeron M 1.4 with integrated gfx) handles WoW fine at the mo!

orgrimmar is a bit of a single figure FPS moment thou
