Laptop cpu Question ?

Oooohhh well, I didn't know how to answer the question as it is just a matter of individual preferences and individual sight...

I feel myself more comfortable with a 1280x768 res on a 8.9" screen than a 1024x600 or 800x600 res. In the same, I prefer 1440x900 res (or even more if it was possible) than 1366x768 on a 15.6" screen. ^^

On the opposite, I saw some secretaries working with a 800x600 res on a 17" or 19" monitor. I can' even imagine how I could do more than some minutes in the same situation.

The reason i ask is my old Dell had screen res of 1920x1200 and i am thinking about buying new dell xps 17 and the screen res is 1600x900

Ok, but that doesn't change much my previous answer, except that you have to consider the pro's and con's of your choice : better cpu and new hardware but lower res or keep your "old" laptop... ^^

If I remind well you also have the option to buy a Full HD 3D with 1920 x 1080 res if you can afford the extra cost...

I will be using my new laptop via hdmi on sony 26" screen
