Hi All,
I have a Lenovo ThinkPad E540 with an I7 4702MQ (it came with an i5). I have a problem whereby the laptop sometimes doesn't charge the battery and when it does (after I unplug the power lead and plug it back in again), the CPU is throttled to 0.79Ghz. I would add that the same problem occurred with the i5.
The only way that I've found that fixes the problem is to disable Intel SpeedStep Technology. With it disabled, I loose the Turbo boost functionality, but I have a consistant 2.2Ghz clock speed and battery charging.
I am running Windows 10 64 bit. BIOS is up to date as are all drivers.
Has anyone else experienced these issues?
Apologies if this is in the wrong section...
