Laptop CPU temps

Hi, my laptop has been getting pretty hot these past few weeks, with CPU temps hitting ~ 75*C during general use (Web browser, 2 tabs) and ~ 92*C when playing Minecraft etc. My temps used to be around 20-25*C cooler than this, both general and load. The hardware config is the same and I have cleaned out any dust and replaced the TIM, but no difference. The CPU is an AMD Turion II M520 @ 2.3GHz and the laptop is an HP Pavilion DV6. I know the Tj.Max is pretty high on these chips at 115*C, but I don't understand how my temps have increased by so much.

Any ideas?

Stripped it down last night, and removed a small amount of dust and replaced the TIM with AS5, but temps are still quite high. I might just get an ultrabook when i get paid, this thing isn't exactly fast anymore...

Did you clean the thermal compound off with something like meths?

Have you taken the heatsink off the fan and cleaned them bot with a paint brush?

Is the base of the cooler scuffed?

You could add a copper shim to the GPU and possibly the CPU.

If the heatsink has failed then it won't be transfering heat , how hot is the air coming out the vent , if its only mildly warm then the actual heatsink has failed and needs to be replaced
