first post so go easy on me!!
I have an old Sony VAIO laptop (VPCEB2M0E)
which I’ve started to use again but it’s feeling a little sluggish. I did upgrade the cpu from an Intel i3 350m to an i7 620m.
I’ve since installed an ssd and upped the ram from 4gb to 8gb, but now it’s got me thinking can I improve the cpu further.
after a bit of research I have found a lot more chips which are compatable with the socket, and the ones I’m eyeing up are the i7 920xm and i7 940xm, however neither of them have integrated GPUs. And my laptop doesn’t have dedicated graphics (just the Intel hd).
so this is telling me the xm processors won’t work or am I mistaken?
