I'll keep it simple as this is only half of what I'm trying to do. The desktop is wired into the router, if I plug the 360 into the router with an ethernet cable, I am able to stream video. However if I replace the desktop with my laptop and plug that in, the 360 doesn't recognise the laptop.
I'm using WMP11 and weird this, WMP on the desktop didn't originally see the 360, it was only until I plugged it into the router that it was seen, but the WMP on the laptop can see the 360 no problems.

Desktop is running Windows Home SP3
Laptop is running Windows Pro SP3
Router is Negear dg834pn.

I presume its a windows setting somewhere? The desktop is using the windows firewall, I'm using sygate, but did disable that and then enable the windows firewall incase it opens up necessary ports or whatever, but nada.

AFAIK there's nothing set in the router that would prevent the laptop not working.

Tried to keep it brief. :p
