I got given a faulty laptop from an uncle, all it needed was a new keyboard and some TLC. It had a "broken" usb port but it was really just bent, so I bent it back to the original position and the USB port was working fine.
At work I plugged in my phone cable to the USB and the laptop turned off, power brick LED is working, but not even a charge light shows up now or any form of power LED from the laptop.
I assume something has fizzled. Just checking because I don't have much experience with laptops.
If a motherboard change will solve the problem, I'll order a new one with a CPU upgrade too.
