Evening all, I discovered this very useful forum whilst searching for a laptop, thus several reviews, posts, threads have been read, I was going to purchase a netbook namely a Lenovo S12, however on a trip to PCWorld I instantly knocked that on the head due to the power it has, I am currently using a P7010 and has served me well for now about 5 years, now I think after reading reviews here, other websites and Youtube the choice of laptop for me is going to be an ASUS UL30A-QX131V for which I now have the opportunity to purchase brand new for £400, now on searching Gumtree and eBay there is a couple offering I guess a lower spec ASUS UL30A one for £310 and another having an SSD for £375, including in the mix I have been offered a Toshiba U400-145 for £250.

Now the advice I am looking for is what would you do New or Old or a completely different laptop, as I guess things have moved on, DVDRW is not fully important as these can be added at a later date externally.

In short what I wish to use the Laptop for is normal browsing, emails, general office documentation, downloads, posible streaming Music, Films and Recorded TV from my ReadyNAS DUO Server wirelessly, work wise is all IT based recover data from corrupted and failed HardDrives as this would be taken everywhere, meaning portability, I use VauxCom to activate a number of Vauxhall optional extras.

I wish to keep the size of screen size small so portability as I am use to this on my current laptop and longevity.

Hope the above makes sense and you can give me some advice on my Dilemma.

Many thanks in advance.
