Hi I bought a laptop the weekend its an advent monza t100 and it had windows 8 pre-installed which I didnt like so I installed windows 7 on it, the install went fine and I downloaded most the drivers I needed from the advent site some of them worked but the wireless network driver claims its only compatable with windows 8 even though theres folders for xp vista win7 in data but manually pointing to these didnt work and i cant find any win 7 drivers anywhere

all I know about my wireless device is this:

802.11 g/b/n
REALTEK PCIE Wireless LAN
8723AE

thats odd seems the 2 drivers for windows 7 are for bluetooth (which I don't think my laptop even has) and the one wifi driver (the one i need) is for windows 8 only
 
Failing all else you could try using a wired connection to your router, then running windows update and checking under optional updates.

Thanks for the help it turns out that the device was actually an 8188CE which I found the drivers for a lot easier then the one I got from the advent site :)

the reason its been so long for me to post back is I installed windows 8 back on and left it for a few days before looking into it again, I found the real device name from the network adapter settings within windows 8, I am now running a dual boot with 7/8 too :)
