laptop Expresscard help

i bought my dell laptop (inspiron 9400) around feb, it says its only compatible with Expresscard. Does anyone know its compatible with Expresscard 34 or is it 54?

It's compatible with both. I have the XPS M1710 which is based on the same chassis as the 9400.

The difference is in the width of the cards not height like the older PCMCIA cards it replaces. 54mm is basically the width of a credit card whereas 34mm is obviously narrower than this. If a laptop will take the width of a 54mm card it will also take a 34mm card.
