Due to a lack of space where I have moved into, I am selling my desktop setup and buying a laptop with a budget of £1000 max.

My desktop was a i5 4670k, 8gb ballistix sport, msi gaming 750ti 0c 2gb ddr5
with a Asus z87m pro board.

This was plenty powerful enough for my needs, will this laptop be of same power/use or better?

Acer Aspire V-Nitro VN7-591G (i7 4720hq,12gb,60gb ssd, 2td hd, 15.6 ips, gtx 960m 2gb)

Don't see a lot of mention on here of this make laptop so are they any good or is there better for the same sort of money?

Thanks

Ended up spending a bit more and went for this laptop Asus G751-T7070H

Delivered today and it has a faulty display, all I get is loads of lines across the screen.

Gutted!!!

Also wish that is was packaged better for the journey than just an address label put on the laptop box, god knows what it goes through with the delivery drivers..

That's unlucky :(
Where did you order from? OcUK or a competitor? I'd expect better packaging than that.

Found I can use this laptop through the hdmi and it's very good but now found that any usb item I plug in on the left side keeps dropping out.

Updated bios to latest 206 but still the same problem, for £1200 this is pretty bad from Asus.

I am now thinking of going for the GIGABYTE P37W v3-CF1 but noisy fans worry me?

Wish I hadn't had to sell my desktop, I had no trouble.
