Hey guys!

My little sister is off to uni this week and is looking at getting a laptop. As a desktop user, I am wholly unfamiliar with the lappy landscape; knowing nothing of its customs nor of the folk that use them. She's studying fine art and will mostly be using Photoshop and MS Word. Her budget is 300 so she's trying to do this on the cheap. Anyone know of anything that would suit her simple needs, or able to direct me somewhere useful? Might need a decent amount of RAM to support all that Abode nonsense too.

Cheers anyone!

Have a look on the dell outlet, for around £320-£350 shel be able to pick up an i5 which are much better then the i3s but if she can save for about £400is she could get an i7 3.1ghz quadcore for that amount.

15 inch screens are at 1366x768 while the 17 inch screens are at 1600x900 but are a bit heavyer then the 15 inch im guessing at art a better resolution would be best. ram is cheap and is easily upgradale so its not such a big problem with getting a laptop with low ram in it.
