Basically I'm trying to find a laptop for a friend and I've never owned a laptop so I'm not sure what is out there.
He needs a multi-media laptop but (not for gaming) things like movies and music, he will also be using it for work.
I came to this conclusion for spec but if anyone has any suggestions that would be great:
USB 3.0
4GB ram as minimum
disk drive for DVD's if possible (I realised that most laptops dont have these anymore)
HDMI output (and VGA/DVI if possible)
Intel I3/I5 ivy bridge
high res screen 15 - 18" (if possible 1080p)
500gb - 1tb HDD (for movies/music etc.)
Wonder if anyone has any ideas for some laptop models?
