Can anyone recommend a decent laptop for £400?

Main use will be for web browsing, photoshop, basic video editting etc.
It needs WiFi and can't be ugly ;)
Vista would be a bonus :)

Any advice as I am rubbish when it comes to laptops. Thanks

AMD Turion 64 running Vista Home Basic (i.e. the crap vista version :) )

For around £500+ an Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 - 1.66GHz

You will be lucky to get a copy of Vista included now the free upgrade from Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 has expired. (Ran out on 15th March!) :(

Vista really requires 1GB ram, 2GB recommended for photoshop users, I can't see you getting a version of Vista worth having on a £400 laptop.

Overclockers sell Vista Home Premium 32-Bit Edition DVD OEM for £75.19 should you be forced to upgrade later on, as long as you ensure the laptop you buy can run vista! :)

Click on the link below to see what you miss out with Vista Basic over other versions.

You can get a Dual core Turion, 1GB ram, 80gb HD, x1150 graphics, 15.4inch widescreen for under £400 delivered. You get Vista Home basic with it.
