Laptop for 9 year old

Am interested in what replies you get as I was going to buy a laptop for 11 year old that like playing roblox online gaming and sims 4 plus Youtube & internet use

What price are you wiling to go up to ?
 
I've just got my 7 year old a Chromebook. I debated between that and a Windows machine but ultimately most of the things she does are browser based.

She already has an Android tablet and has done for 2-3 years so I'm hoping it works out ok.
 
Thinkpads are worth looking at, they can be had cheap on eBay and generally have a ton of upgrade options and 'mods'.

Great build quality, nice keyboards. Can be found silly cheap on eBay second-hand.

I have one from 2007 that could probably be grabbed for £100-150. I've owned it since new, and it's still going strong.

It'll depend on what model you get (some have soldered CPUs like most laptops) but you can swap keyboards, screens, palmrests and all sorts. r/thinkpad is worth looking at on Reddit for information.

I just picked up a T450 with an i5-5300U and 8GB RAM for £125 on eBay as an example. A few years ago I also had an X230 for £150 (ish). There are tons of guides online to help as well.
