Hello,
Does anyone have any experience of Samsung's new laptop with the AMD A10 4600m processor and 8GB of ram running at 1600MHz? I am looking to buy my son a laptop for uni which he expects to use for note-taking, using Skype and CAD software. I have looked at i5 solutions but they all seem lopsided if using onboard graphics only and if a discrete card is added it seems to kill battery life.
Any views gratefully received.

Thanks jubei - I had seen that thread but was hoping for some more direct comparisons of people's experiences as there does not appear to be any benchmarks available for the new Trinity processors as yet. Battery life and CAD performance are key issues for me.

Quick update - I took cold feet and went the Intel route as I didn't fancy being an AMD guinea pig. Bought a Dell 15R-SE with an i5 3rd gen processor, 6GB RAM, 1GB HD and discrete graphics card for just under £500 - which included a logitech wireless mouse and delivery.

Re-built machine with Windows Ultimate 64 to get rid of the Dell "bloatware" and it is running really well. Nice machine and one happy son.
