Laptop for Android developer/consultant

Looking at training as an android consultant and am gonna need a laptop for it. Any suggestions? Think budget, but must be reliable and quick enough for compiling etc.

Any traits I may have missed a consultant might need?

I will be going from Java (J2EE) to Android, but I believe the company also do iOS although that isn't what I will be training for if I accept the job.

Will try 6GB Minimum then. The AMD A6 and A8's any good?
