'ello.

I was going to get a tablet for browsing the web, movies, etc., but I thought I could get a pretty decent laptop for a lil' bit more, which I can be more productive with (light programs, programming.)

I was looking at the Asus X54C. I have heard that Asus build quality is good, and the components inside are too. Asus themselves are selling it for £320 with a sandybridge i3, 6gb ram and a 500gb harddrive. It sounds good to be, but are there any other alternatives out there?

Also, I'll probably be using Linux, so that could speed things up also :)
