Wondering if anyone has any good suggestions.

As the title says I'm looking for a new laptop, budget is around £500, could go a few quid above if need be but not much. I already have a top of the line PC which I use for gaming and video editing. I need the laptop for the normal round the house PC use (and so I don't spend eternity locked in my study), i.e.

MS Office

If it was a decent enough spec to play games on the move or for image editting that would be a big plus, but probably asking to much on my budget.

Any recommendations?

Thanks for your help

looking around the shops i could only find core duo + 1gig rar + 120GB for that price, the core 2 duo seems to be holding a much higher price £650+

Though with the sales you may be able to find a last of stock/display model bargan.

I was sure it was core 2 duo -.- I'll check. Its a competitor though so I'm keeping shhtum.

If not core 2 duo theres some amd 64 x2's for about that price aswell.
You have to hunt though, most places only show pretty rubbish specs (celerons, you name it) for about 300/400, then jump to the 800 mark.

Look on ebay they always have great laptops on there i got mine last month.

Depends if you want one from new tho?
