laptop for cad

my dad needs a laptop thats good storage fast etc but as he's on site quite a bit it needs to be bombproof well quite sturdy but not massive.
he's doing cad and ms project and other utilities no gaming

For CAD use, check with the software vendor regarding supported graphics cards and which drivers should be used, they may have lists of recommended machines too.

Personally I find the Dell Precisions pretty damn good.
