As im not very geared up with Laptops i thought i'd seek some advice.

I have recently got a new job and i have a lot of spare time but constantly on the move, so i am after a laptop for gaming purposes with a budget of roughly £1000.

So would anyone kindly enough recommend anything with reasons to why it would be a good choice.

Requirements would be:

Needs to play the latest games
Portable
Maybe a blu-ray drive as i will be watching a lot of films and possibly blu-rays

Thats it :)

thank you kindly!

Take a quick look at the clevo "build your own" jobbie on the site here. I've priced similar elsewhere and it's definitely competitive for the money.

There's very little around that will outperform it (depending what options you pick but the GPU is VERY strong) so not much point blowing cash on anything else.

Warranty wise it'll be direct with OcUK - after experiences with a "big box" laptop manufact bought from elsewhere that's a definite plus in my opinion.

I did have a look at that. Its a very nice deal, but to get the 8gb of ram and an i7 with a secondary HDD gets quite expensive compared to my budget. Even if I downgrade to the i5 it's still over. I could save the extra but I am just thinking would this be worth spending the extra for and will it last for a few years? I don't want to have to spend more in 1 or 2 years because of the possibility it will struggle to play future titles.

Thanks for your help Though, muchly appreciated
