Hi all. I'm after a budget 2nd hand laptop to be used at home for the following:

Household accounts
Making video slideshow home movies
Playing Kerbal space program occasionally

I'm now a console gamer but miss Kerbal, and the port over to console is disappointing.

My work issue laptop is a HP G11, and it feels nice and solid so I'd like something of similar build quality, but I'd like a 17 inch screen if possible.

Also from memory Kerbal is a single core game so it'll need a decent clock speed.

With the home movies and slide shows, the encoding doesn't need to be fast because I can leave it to encode overnight, but the system needs to be beefy enough to allow me to build the slideshow in Nero without hanging.

GPU wise I don't imagine it needs to be particularly good, just a bit better than standard office spec graphics.

Am I expecting too much for a second hand laptop in good condition with an OS for about £300?

Any suggestions will be most welcome, thanks.
