As the title suggests I'm looking for a laptop for gaming though the games are generally more processor intensive in the form of RTS and Football Manager (I run over 50 leagues).
At the moment I have a 4 year old MSI GS70 Stealth (worlds thinnest laptop when it released) with a 765M (GDDR5 2GB VRAM) and a 4th Gen i7 processor (can't remember without checking).
It's starting to show it's age now which is fair enough, 4 years is a decent innings considering some of the hot and sandy countries it has been with me. Looking for something in the 17" range that is thin and light like the Stealth I have now. Think mine weighs 2.6Kg at the moment. I'm not adverse to staying MSI but after reading @MiSJAH thread I'm not as keen to do so.
Price range is up to 2k but Processor and RAM are going to be significant factors, I don't need a 1080 which puts the price of the laptops up massively. Anyone have any recommendations on something with a minimum 7th gen processor and 16+GB RAM? Battery life is a non issue when buying laptops in this region as generally they're used as a mobile desktop not as a laptop to play Far Cry on a train. (well for me anyway).
