Hi all,

I'm looking for a laptop for my mother, to avoid her going out and buying something massively overpriced and overspecced for what she needs.

She will literally only be booking holidays and printing things from it and looking at pics with my father on the screen (phone screens to small for the old eyes!).

So I'm tempted to recommend the cheapest things going, like ASUS Vivobook E410MA 14" which is only around £179. But I'm wondering if anyone thinks I should be considering something I'm not?

Thanks

Would a 10" tablet be a possible choice? My mother got on better when my sister bought her a tablet than she ever did with her laptop. It didn't get used for the last couple of years of her life but she was 99 when she died.....

Any chance you could get away with a Chromebook?

I don't love using them, but it really reduces the number of support calls you might need to do.
