Hi guys in need of some help,
I am starting open University this week as a very late student (43 years old),
I have a gaming pc already but don’t want to use that for downloading software etc so I am on the lookout for a good laptop that will spend 80% of its time at home and rest of the time probably studying and watching Netflix etc and maybe abit of light gaming when I’m on holidays,
Price range will be around £1000 but anything cheaper would be great,
I would probably need a high processor and good storage as I will be useing a lot of Microsoft software and working through webpages,
I have a couple of apple devices but I only use windows as a operating system but ideally would like it to last me through the 3 years for my course and then after this use it for streaming and light gaming.

For 1000 id buy a newer version honor magicbook. Its nice to buy a new laptop but dont underestimate going low spec. Ive had a m3-6y30 for couple of years for software development and gaming, and goes great. If i was to get a casual/work laptop today, id get a bmax y11, for handiness and similar current performance - ge just what you need, and spend the remainder on your holiday

Middleground would be a MaiBenBen HeiMai 7 - u would need take the processor out and upgrade it - itsndesigned to be able to do this
