I have no clue about laptops really and also am well out of the hardware game however I now need a laptop for work. It will be used for a multitude of things from SSH/Telnet and usual network engineer stuff to HTML/CSS/PHP/JS so one of the necessary things is to have a decent keyboard as I'll be using it out and about most of the time. Because of this it needs to be portable and thus lightweight. I'm personally thinking something like the ThinkPad Yoga, but it lacks the Ethernet Port the same as the XPS13 does :(

The main needs are:

AC Wireless
Portable
Good keyboard
1080p+ screen
Ethernet Port
Not stupid money

What's out there? :p

You can always just get an ethernet adapter; then most of the top ultrabooks will do just fine.

I'd say it will then come down to personal preference for keyboard.

I might just do that, most of the switches these days are either via USB or GUI. And with myself aiming for the wireless market I'll be running on that 99% of the time :D

Setup for stuff I could just use an adapter.
