Laptop for World of Warcraft

Was guided to GP73 but my concern is the 128GB SSD which will not be enough. I will need to add a NVMe - about 100 GBP more (250GB Samsung Evo Plus), on top of the hustle, bringing the total price to about 1300 GBP.

First I was looking at GP63 but I think that 17.3 is better for gaming over 15.6, if I am mostly stationary but still need to move it without too much hustle (as a desktop). Good thing about this laptop was said to be the cooling, bad is the build quality and quality control.

Another option is FX705GM but my concern is the cooling, as I read mixed reviews.

My budget is pretty limited and at the moment I am looking at about 1300 GBP with GP73 and I would not want to spend much more, as then I also need to pay for the peripherals (will get a cheap bundle first) and the game, bringing the total to 1400 GBP.

The question is what would you recommend in my situation? And how do those two compare?

I picked up an open box PC Specialist laptop via the Bay, can't remember the exact spec now (at work) but something like i5-7300Q, 1060Ti with 6GB, 128GB NVME + 1TB storage, 8GB ram, 17" screen etc, which is amazing for travel WoW, Diablo and the likes, and I paid around £800 for it. The PCS spec builder listed the same model, new, for around £1200 so I saved around £400 just because the box was damaged. I've since added more ram (8GB, ~£45) and changed out both drives to SSD (256GB NVME, ~£60) and a 500GB SSD (£50) but even with these additions i've paid around £950, so it's maybe worth a look...

Edit: it played WoW totally fine @ ultra settings without the additional hardware, I added them to be a little more "future proofed"

Thanks. Did you install WoW on 128GB SSD or slower HDD at first, and how did it work out? SSD is faster but 128 seems too low - half is for Windows, then another half to allow a page file, etc.

It was on the 128 at first, but as space became an issue I moved it to the mechanical drive. Load times suffered, so I opted to replace both drives per the previous reply, using the 256GB drive for OS and apps, and the 500GB for games, and my steam library. Overall, very happy with the setup, it's likely faster than most desktops now
