i once tried some software recommended to me on this forum to "under"clock my xp laptop so that the battery lasts longer. the software worked great but i only needed if for when on a trips so turned the program back to normal settings and uninstalled.
since then though i have found it to be incredibly slow at points, as though it's doing a virus scan or backup (which it isn't) and doing anything else hangs for a long time. it's worse when watching films/youtube as it can't buffer (is that the right word?) it quick enough.
is there anything i can try to put my laptop back to full strength?
