Ok so i upgraded my daughters laptops with an SSD and new cpu and installed windows 7 instead of vista she had on there. However the graphics have started to go wrong, dashed black lines appearing round the screen etc. My guess is the thermal pad which was touching the graphics isn't fully touching it anymore. The gap between chip and heatsink seems too big for thermal paste, so i've bought the Coollaboratory Liquid MetalPads http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=TH-015-CL&groupid=701&catid=27 Will these do it? I can try some thermal paste, i've ordered some too as I ran out while changing her cpu.

Its onboard intel graphics Series 4 thing. So the heatsink is just a copper arm coming over the cpu first.

Am I right? Is cooling now a problem? I upgraded the cpu from a T3400 to a T9500 too. The temps are good. 38c idle 63c load. Will the liquid metal pad do the job?
