I have laptop HP Pavilion and I cannot manage to find out the issue of the display.

I did tests to my graphic cards etc. and nothing came up but yesterday happened this
to appear some colored lines across the screen. Some pictures of the screen are here:

Looks like your graphics card is on the way out, how old is the laptop?
Does it happen over prolonged use or at startup

With its age i would try to dis assemble it give it a good clean inside maby with some compressed air i know its ludacris but a lot lot lot of pc/laptop problems are caused from dust and dirt buildup. my mothers laptop just wouldn't power up untill i took it apart cleaned it showed it some love and it was fine and that laptops a good 8 years old or something. if it doesn't work i am sorry, also have you dropped it recently maby something has come a little loose inside that could be another possibility.

Yeah try taking it apart, might be the graphics card is getting too hot to quick, perhaps some new Thermal Paste on it?

i know what it is! iv dealt with loads of these, im betting its nvidia gforce go 6100 gfx on that laptop, they are renowned for dying, think of it like xbox 360 rrod, gfx comes off the board and kills it, there is actually a page on hp's website about this somewhere

I opened and on the GPU it was something which look like blue tack or putty thermal but was dry and has to be replaced. I cannot put thermal paste or compound as the gap between radiator and gpu is quite big so I need something to fill in but I cannot find the thing. I found just Akasa AK-TT12-80 Thermal Adhesive Tape but is too thin to fill the gap.

Anyone any idea where to find something to put in there?

there are some companies that offer a re-flow service, might be worth a check on the web about the actual problem, do a little research, and check it out, u may find the page on hp's website about it when u look

The problem now is what can I use to fill the gap between the radiator and the GPU. I do not find any Thermal Adhesive Tape thick enough to fill the gap. I was thinking about some of a piece of copper and some thermal paste between.
