Laptop hard drive died...

Right well i have had my laptop hard drive die on me. The laptop is out of its 1yr warranty period but the hard drive (if bought seperately) has a 3yr warranty...
do you think i would be able to get this replaced free of charge or am i gonna have to pay for a new one?

The only way to be sure is to get the HD's serial number and check it's warranty status on the manufacturers website. If the make/model of drive does have a 3 yr warranty, you'll probably get a replacement FOC.
