Hi everyone my old vaio K415S has almost had it its really slow and heats up and the fan is going full whack 24/7 (apart from when its turned off 
) i wanted to ask your advice, could i replace the hard drive and install vista and once i have vista could i upgrade my ram to 4 gig, max is currently 1 gig. i am not fussed about all the sony crap and the recovery partion because it was reparied once and they didnt use an original sony part and know it wont except the recovery disk.
