Hello there,

My laptops just randomly corrupted, now iv taken some pictures of what it does:

Step one it goes streight to this screen:

Step two, it goes to this screen and i have tryed every option:

Step three, it loads windows (usual loading screen)

Step four, it goes to this screen for about 2 Milliseconds, im supprised my mobile phone captured a picture of it:
Then it goes back to step 1 again.

I have tryed inserting my windows disk and pressing f12 to load from it but it goes streight to step one and doesnt even take any notice to the disk.

Any ideas what i can do to fix this please? If only it would read my windows disk or let me get to a command prompt screen i could fix it, but i cant fix it because it ignores the windows cd :(

Thanks

If you want to run from your install CD, at step 1 press F2 to enter your BIOS then change the boot order to read from DVD/CD drive first, should run fine then, its a registry issue i think, i dont know of any other way around it, but if it exists then someone will be able to point you in the right direction :)

EDIT: have you tried safe mode?

.. yes i know how to boot from cd but as iv said it doesnt take no notice of it..
and yes as iv said.. iv tryed all of the safe modes nothing happens..

If it would read the disk i wouldnt be posting, i would be able to fix it if i could get to a command prompt screen but the laptop is in its own world, it just goes from step one to 4 and back again ignoring the cd drive and anything i tell it to.

Do you have a floppy disk drive? If you do then depending on the bios you may be able to get it to boot/run that and all you need is a Windows startup disk/Ultimate Boot Disk or the like.

Failing that you could remove the hard drive and plug it into your PC, bit more effort and you might need an adapter/caddy to do so but it is a workaround.

I have tryed the putting hard drive in pc, but yeh it doesnt fit normal IDE,

But the floppy drive well.. i dont have a OS on a floppy or anything like that :S and my pc doesnt have a floppy drive so i cant put files onto a floppy, but i could allways use a friends pc but do you know where i could download something to put onto the floppy to try and boot from to see if it will fix it?

Thanks
