Well, my HP510 won't connect to any wireless. No matter what password is tried it just says they aren't right and goes about ASCII and stuff and how the passwords need to be certain character lengths.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Cheers.

your router is attempting to use a WEP key

this does have to be a certain number of characters and in certain formats etc..

you need to specify exactly what type of authentication method to use

if your using a password with words in it, eg myp@ssw0rd etc.. it will be WPA. Most probably WPA-PSK.

My router uses WPA2-PSK(AES). I know WEP needs to be a certain number so are the wireless settings on my laptop erm weird lol? Like set to WEP rather than WPA? Anyway to change this as I'd rather not have my netgear sticking out the side in case it gets smashed on somat?
