Laptop HDD Problem

If you have a steady hand you could drill it out.

You could also cut your own groove. If there is grip you could also try a pair of pliers clamped either side of the head and unscrew it that way.

Pic isnt very clear so I can't say for sure if any of the above will be helpful.

As SiriusB says the picture isn't very clear so it is difficult to tell what would be best, I'd probably suggest pliers in the first instance as they are less likely to do any serious damage to anything else than drilling or cutting your own screw head if you muck it up.

I have had this a few times before. I assume the other 3 screws have been removed ok? If so just wiggle it, move the other end of the hard drive away and towards the metal casing so that itl loosens the screw, so that you can remove it easily with a screwdriver.

wiggle and use pliers to unscrew. have had to drill one of these out and just have to remember not to drill too much and will be fine, but only as last resort.
