Laptop - For A Friend

Guys,

A friend needs a laptop

Im a Thinkpad fanboy and have no experiance in any other brands unfortunatly. I have been looking for second hand T60's but nothing suitable is coming up so i thought id see what else is out there.

I used a Compaq C700 last night of my friends and i really liked the build quality of it.

What she needs is

Core 2 Duo
2gb ram
DVDrw
Wifi

Budget of around £300-£375

Any suggestions?

Have you looked at any of the 15" HP Pavilions? Very very similar to the Compaq, at a guess they're probably the same chassis

I'd recommend the Dell Vostro's for that price.
If not, my second recommendation would be to go to 'Purple Shirt Land', see what is available, then find it cheaper online / elsewhere.

(+1 for the HP Pavillions also. They seem very affordable for the specs they come with.)
 
Give Dell a look, there's a good Dell deals website that gives you links to the cheapest Dell prices available. Should be able to get something decent for the budget.
