Fiancee wants a laptop to replace her old desktop, So i'm going to help her buy one. Not got a lot of money to through at it so basically looking for something decent for as little more as possible.
She wants windows 8 and touch screen ideally (though touch isn't a must), it'll be used for doing her coursework on, browsing the internet and watching movies, but also some light gaming.
We're not looking for a gaming laptop by any stretch, just something that'll run older games at low/medium settings with good solid frame rates. She only really plays sims 3 on her pc at the minute, but does like playing stuff like Skyrim, Tomb Raider on the xbox, so if it was capable of running them on low it would be ideal.
Budget would be preferrably under £500. between 15.6 and 14 inch screen and have HDMI to allow it to be plugged into a larger monitor on her desk.
Looking at a Asus Vivobook S550CA @ £450:

Dual-core Intel Core i3-3217U @ 1.8GHz
6GB RAM
Integrated Intel® HD Graphics 4000
Touch Screen
