I have an Acer Travelmate 5740

It needs windows installed.

Boots to BIOS fine and see hardrives and memory....

Boots to Boot Manager screen fine and sees My USB drive

But when I try to install windows from USB it just stays on the windows logo and wont Let me actually install windows.

Then I get lines on screen...

Ive tried plugging the laptop into a Monitor via HDMI but got the same result....Any ideas?

I have a Few idea.

First i would try to update the bios (if there is a newer version)

Create a windows 7 install usb and if that install ok upgrade that install to windows 10

The intel HD graphics chip (if its a separate chip) could be dying :(

Run a mem test (worth a try)

Just building a bootable win 7 usb now :)
