Hey, im planning to go to Mauritius around september for a few months and I want to take a laptop with me, at the moment I dont have any laptop and thinking of buying something... all I will use it for is music and general internet use. Not sure im allowed to talk about apple computers but I have been looking at them.

Is there any problem taking a laptop to a hot country like Mauritius and is there any laptops better for this type of thing?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I couldnt find a section talking about laptops

Any laptop should do. Sept is still winter there albeit temps still 15 - 25 deg. So a bit like the temp here in summer. And you should be fine re power too. 240 v and 3 pin plugs are used there.

If it were me I would get a MacBook, otherwise just get some kind of Core Duo Windows lappy, theyre all pretty much the same inside.
