Hi guys,

I'm in need of a laptop instead of my big clunky desktop. I don't exactly play any games any more so I don't need anything too exciting but I don't want a slug either.

I'd have about £400 to spend on it.

I was looking at the Inspiron 17 - 3721

Code:
Processor: Intel® Core™ i3-3227U (3M Cache, up to 1.90 GHz) with Intel® HD 4000 Graphics
 Windows® 8
 6 GB DDR3 Dual Channel 1600MHz (2 DIMMs)
750 GB SATA Hard Drive (5400RPM)
 8X DVD+/- RW Drive
 17.3 inch High Definition+ (1600 x 900) LED Display with TrueLife
 Windows® 8 64bit (Englilsh)
Wireless : Dell Wireless 1704 Card
 LCD Back Cover : Black
 Battery: Primary 4-cell 40W/HR
 Internal Qwerty Keyboard

It's within my budget but I didn't know whether it would be better to pay a bit more and get an i5. *I do backup my DVDs so I can play all my media through my AV receiver.

The reviews look good but having never owned a laptop I don't really know too much about these mobile processors.

Thanks for any help :)

*(I own all the DVDs, just too hard to manage a big DVD collection when it's not digital :))*

I did see that one but the 4GB of RAM put me off a bit.

Was the price including delivery and vat?

Quick question as well, can these graphics cards be upgraded at all? Might be stupid but having never owned a laptop, I've genuinely got no idea :)

Cheers

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like a good buy then.

Is there anyway to upgrade the graphics on it? I noticed it had an Nivea card in but I couldn't find anything about upgrading it.

Cheers

That's not too bad really then. I doubt I'd even play any games on it, I have my xbox for the tiny bit of casual gaming I do.

Thanks a lot for your help buddy.

*Off to check funds and make an order hopefully!*
