Hey guys,

Were do you all stand on laptop insurance?

I’m going to be mobile a lot during the next 10 months or so; at Uni, and travelling to my school placements (PGCE) and I want to protect my new Dell Vostro from both damage and theft :(

I’d like to know what you lot have all got, what you can recommend etc.

The best I’ve come up with so far is:

"1 year Compucover insurance for Laptops less than £800 in value. Cover your Laptop against theft, accidental damage, fire & flood. No excess, worldwide cover with no travel limitations and no specialist security requirements." - laptopshop.co.uk

1 year for £39 – that should be enough as I will have probably sold it by the time the policy ends?

Can anyone better that :D

Cheers,

SW.

Thats cheap, what happens if your drop it, do they repair if they can? Replace with like for like or give u £ for it? Whats the value they give? Im going to take this out for the mrs new laptop

We pay £32 for home contents with cover for all mobile accessories including Jelwelry, phones, laptops (£1000) etc....

Co-op.......Been with them for 13years!

I just thought it would be better to have a dedicated policy?

So it sounds like a good deal then :)
