Got dell insurance to cover any faults with the laptop and over the last few days one of the fan sounds like its on its way out due to its making abit of a grinding noise. If i contact dell do you think it will get it replaced?

Should do, it will affect cooling to some extent, our workshop always replace noisy fans as they are not running to their full potential if the bearings are gone.
