Is it possible to have a laptop connected to the internet and also have a device connected to it wirelessly at the same time.
I ask this for a friend who is trying to get a wireless transmitting device working on his Nikon camera.
the idea behind the device is to enable him to transmit photos (photo finish) to a laptop and for him to return to the laptop analyse and print in a short time.
He has to configure the camera to his laptop but to complete the config. the IP address (like config. a router say) he has to access it from a browser.
The trouble is that only one connection seems to be possible ie. Laptop to internet or camera to laptop. He doesn't seem to be able to have both wifi connections at the same time. Therefor he is unable to complete the final config.
Is it correct that only one wifi connection is allowed at one time or is he missing something.
