laptop,internet prob

A friend of mine just got the laptop she got with orange package,her old laptop was connected to her belkin wireless router for two years and worked fine.Today when she tryed her new laptop she can sign into msn but cannot get web pages to load up in firefox or IE.

She can only get them to load if she puts the address as a exception in security in firefox but when she restarts firefox it doesnt work again.She cannot upload attachments to emails either and also i cannot connect to her to remote her on msn to check either.Anyone got any ideas what could the problem be?

Sounds like she's trying to route through a proxy. The reason i say this is because the site works when it's added to an exception list. Has she tried with IE?

IE just doesnt work alltogether,just loads to blank page.I dont know what software that comes with those laptops orange are giving out either that could cause this.I know its running windows vista and her old laptop is xp and that works fine with router but new laptop isnt
