Laptop + Internet question...

Im looking to get my laptop connected to the internet but I cant get a landline or a cable connection. What are my option's? What speeds am I likely to get and is it going to cost me a fortune?

I have had a look at the new vodafone cardbus 3g broadband system but my are isn't covered by the 3g network yet so for the moment thats out of the running.

T mobile web and walk plus is a good option.

Have you used it? Since my area is in a non 3g area what kind of speeds should i be seeing.

I use it on my mobile but i doubt it will be very fast in a non 3g area.
