Don't think i can mention the manufacture, as they might be seen as a competitor for OcUk.
The laptop make begins with D and has suffered water damage.
I received the laptop from a friend to try and sort out. I stripped the laptop to pieces, taking ALL items out and drying carefully with paper towels. I then left it all out for a day to dry any other bis that might be damp.
Put back together, it turned on with the battery (Woohhoo!) and also with the AC cable connected.
Gave back to my friend who said she was getting beeping sounds when she turned it on. Stuck key. Removed keyboard, removd keys, cleaned and re-seated connections. (I NOW HATE LAPTOP KEYBOARDS!)
Put keyboard back in, connected ribbon cable and nothing. Laptop turns on but you can BARELY see the laptop screen. Back light?
I have since removed the screen itself and re-seated connections but can still not get it working. Is there something else i can check? Is a faulty back light a write off?
PLEASE Help me. I'm desperate to conquer this after getting so far.
