Hi,

I was working on my laptop and picked it up to move it elsewhere. As I picked it up it moved sideways with the side fan against the desk (its the smallest EeePC (701) holding it in one corner doesn't cause it damage). Suddenly I heard a series of clattering sounds, like the fan had picked up some dirt off the desk and was propelling it through the system :( . The laptop kept working, but I turned it off ASAP. I'm now a bit worried that whatever it's sucked in might be still in it - I certainly didn't notice anything being chucked out.

What's the best course of action - compressed air through all the holes or would you take it apart just in case (really don't want to do this though)?

You may have broken the fan, if you are not comfortable opening it up and checking yourself, take it to someone who can.
