Laptop keeps switching between 50% and 100% CPU power

I have an Acer 6530G.
And eventough it's set to High performance it keeps switching CPU speed between 1 & 2Ghz every 3 secs.
It's a AMD Turion X2 2 GHz.
Running windows 7. Is there any chance to disable it completely and always have it on full power ?
I especially notice it in flash keeps stuttering everytime the cpu switches back to 50%.

check the settings on high performace it might have QnQ still on, just set 100%

they're both set to 100% Batt & AC power.

where do I find this QnQ ?

oops i mean CnQ "cool & quiet" . that is what controls the cpu speed if its enabled in bios. check you bios and disable CnQ if you want full speed all the time

haha ever seen an Acer bios ? The most risky thing you are able to change there is the time

it runs at 2Ghz when in games fine.
whenever it's loading something on flash 2GHZ but every now and again drops back to 1GHZ.

Is there any way I can trick Win 7 to make it use as a Desktop PC Sheme ?

If yes please tel me how to. Many Thanks
