Laptop keyboard stopped working!

Hi

Currently using the on-screen keyboard!

My laptop keyboard has randomly stopped working.

No keys work
Caps lock not lighting up - power connection maybe?
No drivers etc. changed, it was working fine a few mins ago.

Not sure whether a fn key could be responsible?

It is a Toshiba Satellite L300-19Y.

Have you opened it up to clean it or add new RAM to it? It is possible that you knocked the cable and it has come disconnected.

I suggest removing the keyboard and checking that the cable is still connected

Before taking your laptop apart have you tried restarting it?

Have you checked in the device manager if the keyboard is shown there and if it's enabled or disabled?

I once had a cable come loose on its own before.

Yup, tried both of those. It's decided to start working now.

Might check the connection, could be loose.

Damn you laptop for not forcing me to build a PC sooner than anticipated.
